Oman Seeks Energy Partnership with Siemens Energy

An Omani delegation, led by Minister of Energy and Minerals Eng Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, recently visited Siemens Energy’s facilities in Berlin to explore potential collaborations in renewable energy and green hydrogen production. The visit aimed to strengthen the existing partnership between the two nations in the energy sector.
Key members of the Omani delegation included Pankaj Khimji, Adviser for External Trade and International Cooperation, and Dr Firas al Abduwani, Director-General of Renewable Energy and Hydrogen.
Siemens Energy, a global leader in gas turbines and power transmission systems, has been a long-standing partner of Oman in the energy sector. The company’s Berlin facility, specializing in electrolyzer modules for green hydrogen production, aligns with Oman’s ambitions to diversify its energy sources.
Both parties expressed optimism about future collaborations, emphasizing the importance of renewable energy and green hydrogen in achieving Oman’s Vision 2040.
